Yellow Page Advertising
The Yellow Pages Commando is a creation of Dick Larkin. That's me. It all
started when I needed to get our 2,000+ sales representatives to pay
attention to selling internet products. To get their attention, I started
writing about things that were near and dear to their wallet.
Understanding that salespeople need to find humor in everyday situations, I
started including jokes, funny photos and brainteasers. They loved it. In
fact, they loved it so much that they started sending the reports to their
friends. Unfortunately, they were sending out our sales numbers along with
the jokes.
I started producing a weekly newsletter without the proprietary sales
figures, and people started telling other people about it. Pretty soon,
about 10,000 people each week were reading the Yellow Pages Commando News.
So, I've started putting some of the best information here on the site for
everyone to use. I've been out speaking to groups large and small about
